Deccember 2009 to March 2010 We are currently taking a break from rehearsing and gigging to record the rest of the new album. As all meembers of ybercide have outside commitments this is taking longer than anticipated. However we hope to bring you somevery exiting news soon..
September to November 2009 More material on the way, the album is now half done, and various remixes are being negotiated as we work. August 2009 We are delighted to announce after years of searching we have finally found a live drummer in the form of Jakub Oles, his debut performance will be at the S.O.P.H.I.E. charity event on August 29th at London's very own Slimelight club. There will be full pyrotechnics, angle grinders and even more new material. The beginning of August will saw us taking to the main stage at Summer Darkness festival in the Netherlands sharing the stage with Tyske Ludder, and those legends of the scene Covenant. July 2009 We have just seen the footage from Russian MTV when one of our performances was aired in March and we are absolutely thrilled with it. We shall shortly be putting it up here, once it is compressed into a manageable file size. That said, we are back out playing shows again, first we went to Belgrade Serbia for the first time, then off to Plymouth for a welcome return to Dark Angels. Later in the month we will have a one off show in Camden in London on the 31st where we shall be presenting much of the new material from the forthcoming album "Signals".
April - June 2009 These months have been slow, in preparation for the new album as well as a new live format, which is slowly coming together and should present itself along with some highly danceable new tunes come mid July / August 2009. .
March 2009 This was the month we have all been waiting for for so long, and boy what a month!!! Touring in Russia was great fun, we had no idea how popular we already were, but soon found out, and left even more popular than before. Kiev in the Ukraine was brilliant, we had no idea how much vodka we were capable of drinking, and the resultant ''accidental' destruction of a hotel room, proved an example of this. Moscow, was the highlight of the tour, although we had only a 5 minute sound check, we still managed to prove what we were capable of, with a huge enthusiastic crowd going at it as hard as we did. Afterwards the evening saw both us and Combichrist partying hard into the morning with everyone. Ekaterinburg in Asia being the furtherst any UK EBM band has gone in Russia, was by far the best show of our musical careers to date, and St Petersburg, the final date was an intimate gig with a venue so densely packed it was hard to breathe. All of these full proof that futurepop is not dead, not while there are crowds as enthusiastic as ours. We shall be putting up photos and video footage by the middle of July 2009.
To say thankyou to our Russian and Ukrainian audiences: for a limited time 19th March 2009 to 19th April 2009, we will be giving out many free mp3 files by the middle of March, these mp3 files will be password protected with a Russian passcode, and we will provide you with the password when you download them. These files will only download correctly to IP addresses based in Ukraine and Russian federation, they will not be available for UK or European download. Finally the end of March will see an excursion to the North of England for Persecution where the other band of the evening are proposing to cover our dancefloor anthem Searchlight, ...we can't wait!
February 2009 We will always remember this month as the month we saw snow in 4 countries in 4 days, Many thanks must go to the promoters who assisted us wtih the logistics of our Baltic tour, in particular Nino, without whose help the whole thing would have collapsed. We shall be putting up the photos for these shows by the middle of March, however if you are impatient, there are several photos already on our myspace. Also Barry has now bought a camcorder, so expect a video blog on our myspace page very soon.
January 2009 Happy New Year!!! Just to re-cap where we left off in 2008; We have been booked to tour in Russia and Ukraine with Combichrist in in March 2009. We also have headline shows this February, in Vilnius (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia), Warsaw (Poland), and London. Next month, we will be returning to Leeds for a show on the 6th February 2009 for which we are really excited, and the very next day we are fortunate enough to be able to use the state of the art recording rooms at the university for recording the guitars. In other news the February 2009 copy of Ascension Magazine (Italy) is running an article on us, and in addition we have also just completed a photoshoot for the new album artwork, and several of the sneak preview images will make their way on to here within the next 7 days.
